Commemorating AASAs tenth year, Opening Forum, public release of the AASA Sustainable Development in Asia (SDA) reports, was held before the tenth Anniversary Ceremony of the AASA. The member academies gathered to celebrate its tenth year at the Tenth Anniversary Ceremony of the AASA. Two International symposia were followed afterwards, 2010 AASA International Symposium under the theme of ‘One Green Asia’ on October 19, and the Fourth ASA-FASAS Joint International Conference on Science Education in Asia and the Pacific under the theme of ‘Science Education for One Green Asia’ on October 20.The 9th AASA General Assembly and Board Meeting were held on 21 of October 2010. And the big events were co-organized and hosted by the Korean Academy of Science and Technology.
Representatives of 18 member academies participated in the meetings. In addition to representatives of member academies, observers also attended the meetings: Prof. Sergienko Valentin, President of the Far East Branch and Dr. Nelson Moreno Ceballos, President of the Caribbean Scientific Community.
One of the main agenda of AASA GA was the election of Board Members. The list of Board members for the 2010~2012 term is as follows:
